Covers of both books have mild wear to edges and tips, else pristine and intact. Pages of both books pristine and intact. Principally black-and-white illustrations. Two ephemera laid in On the Great War: promotional sheet or broadside briefly describing Joe Sacco's The Great War and an envelope containing a white sticker bookplate SIGNED in black ink by both Joe Sacco and Adam Hochschild. Near Fine multicolored pictorial paper-covered slipcase, white, yellow, and black lettering on green slipcase spine. Slipcase has a dent on front panel and slight wear to extremities, else pristine and intact. It contains a brief essay by Adam Hochschild as well as a pictorial annotated guide to The Great War with annotations by Sacco himself.
